Switzerland Working Holiday Visa Information

Citizens of full European (EFTA, EEA) Member Countries are able to look for work for up to three months and work without the need for a work permit in Switzerland.

Citizens the New EU Member Countries (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia or Latvia) require a residence/work permit even if the duration of their employment is for less than three months.

Switzerland currently has a Youth Mobility Program available to Canadians

In order to be eligible you have to be a Canadian Citizen between the age of 18 and 35 (incl.), and

  • have a secondary education and have completed a 2-year training, OR
  • study at a post-secondary institution, OR
  • have completed your post-secondary studies
