Malta Working Holiday Visa Information

Malta does not apply any restrictions on the access to its labour market by citizens of other EEA countries

New EU Members (Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia) are also welcome to live and work in Malta on the same basis as nationals of existing EU Members.

Citizens of Australia and New Zealand Citzens (18-30 years) can apply for a working holiday multiple entry visa, valid for a period of one year from date of issue, under reciprocal arrangements agreed upon by the government of Malta and that of Australia and New Zealand.

The scope of the agreement is to provide wider opportunities for citizens, particularly the youth, of Malta and Australia to appreciate the culture and general way of life of the other for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding between the respective countries.
