Summer Isles Hotel North West Scotland Is Currently Looking to Recruit General Assistants And A Sous Chef
We are a small, famous hotel set in a unique landscape of sea, hills, and islands on the far North-West Coast of Scotland. Our restaurant has offered excellent cuisine for the last 25 years and boasted a Michelin Star for 13 years.
In the last 5 years the hotel has won awards as: Best Restaurant in the Highlands and Islands; Best Independent Scottish Hotel; Best UK Cheeseboard; Best Hospitality Employer in Scotland.
This season ends 28 October 2017; applicants should be available until then.
General Assistants - To carry out a range of duties which will include restaurant service. kitchen porter, housekeeping, and bar work etc. Experience preferable, but not essential. However, initiative, common sense, a willingness to get one’s hands dirty, work at 50-70 hours a week and a great sense of humour are highly desirable, as is the desire for learning and personal development.
We are currently looking for a couple or two people willing to share a room!
Accommodation is provided with own room in staff house/hotel/nearby.
Good rate of pay and conditions. Holiday pay as standard. Share of tips.
Sous Chef required - to work in kitchen of small hotel with fine dining restaurant serving Table d\'hote menu - approx 25 covers per night and Gastro Pub - approx 30 covers per day. Seasonal position until October working six days a week for most weeks. Live in accommodation provided. Salary dependent on experience. Would suit those who love the outdoors – not for city lovers.
