Canvas Holidays provide high quality self-drive camping holidays across Europe and have a variety of challenging and exciting of jobs available.

We welcome applications from people who are enthusiastic, resourceful, and looking for a new challenge You will need customer service experience, be over 18, have a UK Bank account and a UK National Insurance number. Our earliest start dates are in March and the season ends in October and you must be available to work for a minimum of 6 weeks. We offer a variety of roles in France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Holland and Sardinia.

We are currently recruiting for Campsite couriers, Children's couriers, Senior couriers, Site supervisors, Site managers, Area managers and montage assistants (an early season vacancy putting up tents and setting up the campsites).

Minimum age is 18 years old

Campsite Courier: We are looking for approachable, well mannered, friendly and helpful individuals to join our overseas team this summer. All successful applicants must have at least one year customer service experience as your main focus will be ensuring that our customers return home having had ‘the' best holiday they have ever had. It is a great opportunity to meet new people, develop customer service skills and improve your language skills.

Your duties will mainly involve preparing customer accommodation for their arrival, welcoming them onto the campsite and ensuring that all the customer’s needs are attended to during their stay.

You will need to have initiative and be a quick thinker, able to resolve any problems that may occur on site efficiently and effectively.

As a Courier you will also be involved in montage (putting up tents) and démontage (taking down tents) at the beginning and end of the season..

Children's Courier: Children’s Couriers are responsible for organising a varied programme of activities for our younger guests with the emphasis being on safety and fun. The success of a family holiday very often depends on the children, so you will play an integral part in the family’s holiday.

Some formal experience of working with children between the ages of four and eleven is required along with lots of imagination, boundless energy and plenty of patience.

You will be expected to arrange a six day programme involving up to five hours of activities per day

Senior Courier: You will be responsible for the day to day running of one of our small team sites. In addition to general campsite courier duties, you will arrange staff rotas, carry out various administrative tasks and maintain effective communications with both the campsite owner and the Area manager.

Site Supervisor: You will be responsible for the day to day running of one of our larger sites. You will possess strong leadership, organisational and particular motivational skills and should have at least one years experience in the camping industry.

Site Manager: You will be managing the day to day running of one of our largest sites. You will possess strong leadership, organisational and particular motivational skills and should have at least one years experience in the camping industry, as well as previous supervisory experience. Ideally, you should be over 21 and have held a full driving license for at least a year.

Area Manager: Opportunities have arisen within the Operations department to further improve and acheive excellence in product delivery within our field operation and we are now recruiting a team of Area Managers to enhance our delivery overseas.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the Canvas Holidays product within a set area of Europe. This will be to the high standards expected and traditionally provided by the business, ensuring all customers have a better than expected holiday experience with Canvas Holidays.

Main responsibilities include, co-ordinating montage and démontage, staff welfare, including training and development as well as a considerable amount of administration.

Area Managers will also be expected to liaise with campsite owners, continuing the developing relationship between Canvas Holidays and the campsite and most importantly ensure all customers receive the very highest standard of customer service at all times.

Area Managers must have had extensive experience of working within the camping industry and possess initiative, excellent people management skills and a very high level of organisational skills.

Applicants will also need basic / conversational language skills in either French, German, Italian or Spanish.

Candidates must be over 21 and have held a full driving licence for at least one year.
