Summer Jobs In The French Alps

Reporting to the Area Manager, as an Activities Manager you will ensure the overall smooth running of the Children’s and Teens’ Activity program within our Summer Alps Programme. As the Activities Manager you will manage & support six “Activity Leader” staff members and will oversee the safe and effective delivery of the Marmottes, (4–7), Wolverines (8-12) and “Teens” Activity programmes.

You will ensure that our children and teen activity programmes are “Active” focused, exciting, fun and age appropriate. With a sports and adventure activities focus, you will create an environment where all children are being made to feel comfortable in their surroundings and enjoy their holiday. You will guide your Activity team, making sure that all activities on offer are age appropriate and suited to parents for our Family Fun Days. You will manage your team and the activity programme schedule, guaranteeing your team are offering an excellent customer experience, building relationships with the parents & children alike. You will also resolve guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

You will ensure all Activity staff maintain and complete all Fire / Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, Registration (booking children and teens in and out of the Activity programme), logging all care requirements such as dietary and allergy as well as all other administrative tasks, accurately and to deadline. This role will require previous experience of managing (including conduct and performance issues) of a team, of sports coach / adventure, activity staff.

Active Rep

An Active Rep is the first point of contact for our customers when they arrive on their holiday, so first impressions are key! You will be at the airport to ensure that the transition to resort is smooth, providing them with a wealth of information and knowledge on the way.

In resort you will be the central contact and organiser for our guests activities holidays. As a passionate sports and activities enthusiast you will ensure our guests holidays are filled with fun and exciting activities throughout the week. From white water rafting to horseback riding, parapenting, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and climbing you will liaise with our instructors and / or third party suppliers to ensure the activities run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. As part of the Resort Active Team you will run a program of activities suitable to your guests and the resort throughout the week. You will excel in and be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service with a can do attitude.

Hotel Assistant - France (various resorts)

Join the Hotel Hospitality Team at Alpine Elements this summer!

Reporting to the Hotel Manager you will provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests in our Hotels.

You will assist with serving breakfast, work at the bar and serve dinner to our guests, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.


You will carry out daily and weekly housekeeping duties ensuring that the Hotel is always at its highest standard.

Join the Childcare Team at Alpine Elements this summer !Reporting to the Active Club Manager you will assist with the overall smooth running of the Children’s and Teens Activity program. As a qualified sports coach, Instructor, Adventure/Activities Leader you will be responsible for the safe and effective deliverance of the various Activity Clubs that we operate across our programs which encompass children of ages 4-7, 8-12 and Teens. You will ensure that our children and teen activity programmes are “Active” focused, exciting, fun and age appropriate, ensuring that all children are comfortable in their surroundings and enjoy their holiday. All activities will be age appropriate and suited to parents when applicable for example when running “Family Days”.

Typically your day will be from 8am – 6pm with a break in the middle of the day where the children will re-join their parents for lunch, however you will run an evening activity 1-2 nights a week. This role will require previous experience and preferably qualifications in sports coaching, Instructor or Activity / Adventure Leadership.

As an Assistant Hotel Manager you will under the Hotel Managers instruction be responsible for the day-to-day running of the hotel and its staff exceeding guest’s holiday expectations at all times. You have commercial accountability for budgeting and financial management, planning, organising and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house, catering operations, and housekeeping. You will be a natural leader and motivator who will work closely with the hotel team to inspire them to have a passion for what they do and the delivery of a seamless service which will exceed guests expectations. You will ensure that the set staff standards for uniform, presentation and professionalism are adhered to at all times.

As an Alpine Elements Kitchen Porter you will be an integral part of the overseas Hotel Team, ensuring our customers’ expectations are exceeded at every opportunity.

Reporting to the Head chef and Assistant / Hotel Manager/s our KP’s are responsible for the hygiene and safety standards within our Hotels Kitchens and the high standards of customer service during the Night Porter shifts.

You may also assist in the production of excellent quality food, presented at the highest standard for between 35 to 170 customers.

You will also be required to maintain hygiene standards, complete and conform to HACCP and COSHH procedures. Night Porter shifts are on a set rota basis ensuring you will have plenty of time to ski or board throughout the season.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager/Bar Supervisor you will provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests in our Hotels. You will assist with running the bar ensuring a high level of customer service at all times in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. You will assist with advertising and upselling all bar products, events and special offers helping to ensure that all sales targets are being met and exceeded. You will ensure that the bar is always well stocked clean and welcoming.

Join Alpine Elements as a Sous Chef for a great summer season in the Alps! We are looking for Sous Chefs who are talented, friendly and passionate about their role.

You will assist the Head Chef in leading and inspiring your kitchen team to achieve and exceed our customer expectations throughout the season.

You will be responsible for ensuring the preparation, delivery and service of food within your property.

You will also ensure that the kitchen environment is a clean, tidy, efficient and safe working environment meeting our high company standards and in compliance with UK and Local law. You will train, monitor and ensure all staff adhere to HCCAP best practice to ensure food and hygiene standards are exceptional.

Bike Mechanic- France (various resorts)

Join the Mountain Biking Team at Alpine Elements this summer!

Reporting to the Head Mountain Bike Mechanic you will assist with the overall smooth running of the Mountain Bike program within the French Alps.

As a Mountain Bike Mechanic you will work on a rota basis to cover the bike workshop where you will maintain the fleet of Specialized mountain bikes in your resort.


You will be carrying out repairs on our guests personal bikes when requested, assisting our guests with choosing the correct bike & ensuring they are set up correctly for their ride and ability.

You will assist in the upselling of our specialized downhill bikes for the more serious mountain biker and ensure you meet set targets for sales on In-Resort bike servicing.


You will have a series of logs to complete throughout each week when guests take out & return bikes.

Head Chef - France (various resorts)

Experienced Head Chef? Join us in the Alps this Summer!

As Head Chef you will oversee and run every aspect of the Hotel Kitchen. Managing a team of chefs (size of team is dependent on property size), you would take responsibility for ensuring the preparation, delivery and service of food within your property.

You will also ensure that the kitchen environment is a clean, tidy, efficient and safe working environment meeting our high company standards and in compliance with UK and Local law.

You will train, monitor and ensure all staff adhere to HCCAP best practice to ensure food and hygiene standards are exceptional.

As an Alpine Elements Head Chef you will motivate, train and develop your team of chefs through performance management and set objectives to ensure a succession plan is implemented. 


You will also liaise with the Catering Manager and Hotel Manager to ensure appropriate placements are offered to your team in line with their development plans.

As a Head Chef you will inspire your team to achieve and exceed our customer expectations throughout the season.

We are looking for Chalet Hosts to take sole charge of one of our chalets, or working as part of a team in a larger property.

As an Alpine Elements Chalet Host you will represent the company and be directly responsible for ensuring all of our chalet customer’s holiday expectations are exceeded.

You will be responsible for hygiene, cooking, stock-control and budgeting, you’ll keep things running smoothly and efficiently at all times.

Creating a welcoming atmosphere for your guests, you will be servicing rooms and communal areas daily. Providing breakfast, high quality 3 or 4 course evening meals, homemade cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea and a continental breakfast with hot option.

As a Room Assistant you’ll make sure that our customers walk into their bedrooms and say ‘Wow – this looks great’. It is the most important parts of their experience with us. You’ll make sure that their rooms are cleaned to a standard that is stunning.

As a Room Assistant you will be responsible for the cleaning and presentation of a “section” of customer rooms, public and back of house areas each day. Whilst you probably have a great instinct for cleanliness and presentation, you’ll be given full training and an induction to make sure you know the Alpine Elements way and standards.

Join the Hotel Hospitality Team at Alpine Elements this summer!

Reporting to the Hotel Manager/Restaurant Supervisor you will provide an efficient waiting service for up to 26 guests/ or 6 to 7 tables in one of Summer Alps Hotels.
 
You will be serving guests at breakfast and dinner, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. You will prepare your station for dinner service by laying tables, set up tables with condiments, water, bread baskets, butter and table arrangements, etc. Serve breakfast, dinner, clear down and relay for the next service all within a maximum time of two hours (with set meals times). This is a fast paced role but rewarding.

Reporting to the Activities Manager & Activities Reps Manager you will assist with the smooth running of the Kayak Activity within the Guests Activity programme. As a qualified Kayak Instructor/Leader/Coach with Life Saver/Life Guard or First Aider certificates, you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the Kayak Activity to all guests aging from 4-7, 8-12, Teens and parent groups. You will ensure that that the activity is exciting and fun whilst ensuring that all children are comfortable in their surroundings and enjoy the activity. 

Typically your day will be from 8am – 6pm with a break in the middle of the day where the children will re-join their parents for lunch, however you may be required to assist in the running of evening activities 1-2 nights a week. You will also participate in the end of holiday awards ceremony to all guests. This role will require previous experience and qualifications as a Kayak Instructor/Coach with Life Saver/Life Guard and First Aider

Reporting to the Activities Manager & Activities Reps Manager you will assist with the smooth running of the Stand Up Paddle Board Activity within the Guests Activity programme. As a qualified SUP Instructor/Leader/Coach with Life Saver/Life Guard and First Aider certificates, you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the Stand Up Paddle Board Activity to all guests aging from 4-7, 8-12, Teens and parent groups.

You will ensure that that the activity is exciting and fun whilst ensuring that all children are comfortable in their surroundings and enjoy the activity.  Typically your day will be from 8am – 6pm with a break in the middle of the day where the children will re-join their parents for lunch, however you may be required to assist in the running of evening activities 1-2 nights a week. You will also participate in the end of holiday awards ceremony to all guests. This role will require previous experience and qualifications as a SUP Instructor/Coach with Life Saver/Life Guard and First Aider certificates. You will also require an extended DBS check certificate.

Maintenance Person - France (various resorts)

Join the Maintenance Team at Alpine Elements this summer!

Reporting to the Area Manager you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all Alpine Elements property within resort. 


As a Maintenance Person you will work on a rota basis to coincide with our chalets within resort but it is expected you possess a flexible attitude as this is an ‘on-call’ role. 

Your tasks at time will includes emergencies such as guests locking themselves out of chalets and a leaking dishwasher, or everyday upkeep of the properties. 


At times you may also be required to assist with transporting guests to & from and around resort. Although not a direct customer facing role you will interact with our guests when in our properties and driving, therefore a professional yet friendly manner must be apparent in these situations.

As a Hotel Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your hotel and its staff exceeding guest’s holiday expectations at all times.

You have commercial accountability for budgeting and financial management, planning, organising and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house, catering operations, and housekeeping.

While taking a strategic overview and planning ahead to maximise profits, the Hotel Manager must also pay attention to the details, setting the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests' needs and expectations.

The Hotel Manager will work to identify new initiatives to improve standards and tailor our product and service to individual customer expectations. You will set staff standards and ensure they maintain uniform, presentation and professionalism at all times.
